The Eight Fellowship is Node Eight Foundation’s flagship talent development programme for exceptional National Service personnel who want to become software engineers, product builders, startup operators and innovation leaders.
For one year, Fellows work alongside experienced founders, engineers and product teams to design, build and launch real technology products that solve meaningful problems across education, healthcare, finance and youth development.
About Node Eight
Node Eight Foundation is an innovation venture studio based in Ho, Ghana. We build technology ventures, support entrepreneurs and implement innovation programmes across Africa.
Our products span AI, education technology, digital health, fintech and civic technology, while our programmes have been supported by organisations including UNICEF, GIZ, Mastercard Foundation, and the Botnar Foundation.
Fellowship Tracks
We are recruiting outstanding National Service personnel for the following tracks:
💻 Software Engineering Fellowship
Build production-ready web and mobile applications.
You will:
- Develop modern web applications
- Build backend APIs and databases
- Work with cloud infrastructure and DevOps
- Contribute to AI-enabled digital products
- Collaborate using professional software development practices
Ideal for graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.
🎨 Product Design Fellowship
Design products people genuinely love to use.
You will:
- Conduct user research
- Create user journeys and wireframes
- Design intuitive mobile and web interfaces
- Build interactive prototypes
- Develop design systems and product branding
Ideal for designers passionate about UX, UI and human-centred design.
📦 Product Management Fellowship
Learn how great products are conceived, built and scaled.
You will:
- Work with founders and engineering teams
- Conduct customer discovery and market research
- Prioritise product features
- Define product roadmaps
- Coordinate product development from idea to launch
- Analyse user behaviour and product metrics
Ideal for graduates interested in technology, business, innovation and entrepreneurship.
