Young and Loud Festival 2025 Auditions: Teen Energy Takes Over Ho!
October 27, 2025Ho, Ghana. November 5, 2025 –The Young and Loud Festival returns for its third edition, louder, greener, and more inspiring than ever. Scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Ho Jubilee Park. This year’s festival brings teenagers together once again to celebrate creativity, raise their voices, and take action for change.
This year’s edition is anchored on the theme “Our City, Our Future: Teen Creativity for Environmental Action.” We’re calling on teenagers across Ho to use their talents in music, fashion, dance, visual arts, and digital media to spark conversations and solutions for a cleaner, greener, and safer city.
Young and Loud Festival 2025 is an initiative of the Young and Safe Project under the Healthy Cities for Adolescents (HCA ||) program supported by Fondation Botnar — and it’s made for us, by us.
Young and Loud is a movement where teens like you can discover your talents, show what you can do, and use creativity to speak up about issues that matter most.
Looking Back: Building Momentum from 2023 and 2024
Since 2023, the Young and Loud Festival has grown from bringing together 1,500 teenagers under the theme “Using Creativity as a Tool for Social Change” to engaging over 3,000 young creatives in 2024 through the Street Art Festival, Creative Futures Workshop, and Talent Competition under the theme “Skills, Opportunities, and Jobs.”
Together, these two editions have not only inspired hundreds of young artists but have also transformed the festival into a cornerstone of Ho’s teens culture, proving that when young people are given space to create, they can lead change.
Why This Year’s Theme Matters
For real, the environment affects us all. From flooding after heavy rains to plastic waste and the loss of green spaces, we see these problems every day. And while we care deeply about these issues, many of us don’t always have the platform to express ourselves or take real action.
That’s what “Our City, Our Future” is all about, giving us the space to turn our creativity into advocacy. This year, we’re reimagining what Ho could look like if every teen took part in protecting it: cleaner streets, greener parks, and a community that truly cares.
Through art, storytelling, and innovation, Young and Loud 2025 will show that we’re not just the future, we’re the present, ready to lead the green transformation of our city.
Festival Highlights: A Creative Call for a Greener Ho
This year’s Young & Loud Festival will empower teenagers like you to use your creativity, through art, fashion, and performance, to reimagine Ho as a cleaner, greener, and safer city for everyone.
Street Art Festival – “Our City, Our Future” in Motion
Get ready to paint the city with purpose! The Street Art Festival is the heart of Young & Loud 2025, where colours, creativity, and climate awareness meet. It’s your space to speak through art and show how daily choices affect Ho’s environment, from waste and flooding to trees and clean air.
The experience follows four stories: See It, Feel It, Fix It, and Own It. You’ll see what’s happening around us, feel its impact, explore solutions, and take ownership of your city’s future.
And yes, don’t miss the Green Pledge Wall, where every teen signs their commitment to a greener, cleaner Ho.
Talent Competition
The Talent Competition returns with a new purpose to use performance as a platform for environmental advocacy. Dancers, singers, poets, and visual artists will take the stage to express what “Our City, Our Future” means to them, blending creativity with calls for action on climate and sustainability. Each performance will celebrate talent while challenging audiences to think, feel, and act for a better Ho.
Objectives in Focus
The Young and Loud Festival continues to uphold its five core pillars, which have guided every edition since inception:
- Creative Advocacy: Using art to speak up for social and environmental change.
- Talent Recognition: Celebrating amazing creativity and encouraging growth.
- Networking Opportunities: Linking young talents with mentors and industry experts.
- Platform for Talent Showcase: Giving teens the stage to shine and be seen.
- Career Exploration: Opening doors to creative and tech-driven careers that shape the future.
