Twenty trained in Artificial Intelligence at Ho Node Hub

Artificial intelligence (AI) is an emerging technological trend, with a growing high demand for talents as companies look for a competitive edge in the use of big data.

Artificial Intelligence is a branch of engineering, which basically aims for making the computers think intelligently, in the similar manner the intelligent humans think. 

AI is expected to create 2.3 million jobs by 2020, replacing the 1.8 millions it will eliminate, according to a Gartner report. 

Job titles like machine learning engineer, computer vision engineer, and data scientist are among the most in-demand AI jobs, as companies search for candidates to help bring AI to their workplace or external efforts.

To prepare the youth for the future of AI jobs, Ho Node hub in partnership with Ghana Tech Lab trained twenty young people in AI. 

The six-week intensive program was aimed at empowering the participants with technical skills required to build ventures based on artificial intelligence technology.  To ensure inclusion, 5 ladies representing 25% were selected to benefit from the training program.

The training program is part of Ghana Tech Lab’s base program funded by the World Bank under the e-Transform project of the Ministry of Communications.
