The Ambassador of Togo to Ghana, Lt. Colonel Awoki Panassa, on Tuesday, paid a visit to the Ho Node Hub to get a better understanding of the Digital Innovations Sector and also learn about the operations of the Hub in the Volta Region.

Mr. Panassa, who was accompanied by the Chairman of the Eastern/Volta Chapter of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Mr. Dela Gadzanku, met the Hub’s Managing Director, Mr. Courage Asase, and his team.
They were given a tour of the Hub’s facility including its multiple office spaces for training and conferencing and to enable them access first hand information on the daily operations of the organisation.
He had the opportunity to learn about the programs and the various projects being executed by Ho Node Hub and its various partnerships.
Messrs. Panassa and Gadzanku in a mini staff durbar, were introduced to the Incubator and Accelerator programs which focuses on Startups and established Businesses in the ecosystem respectively.
Col. Panassa, who was impressed with work done so far by the Hub, congratulated its team and encouraged them to remain focused on the development of the youth and businesses.
He indicated that it was not a mere feat for one to use their competencies in helping other people to better their communities and further described the Hub as the “future of our countries”.
He urged Ho Node Hub to spread its tentacles beyond the shores of Ghana which would be made possible if all impediments including language barrier were done away with.
This he said would improve inter-sector collaborations between Ghana and Togo, especially.
Mr. Gadzanku addressing the durbar indicated that the Hub held enormous prospects for the youth in the region. He indicated that AGI’s recently signed partnership with the Hub would support current youth development efforts towards achieving the 2030 sustainable development agenda.
On his part, Mr. Asase explained that the Hub was focused on the development of young people in the Ecosystem.
He said the 4th industrial revolution was multifaceted with opportunities for the youth to leverage on in order to positively impact the global economy.
Mr. Asase said the organisation, though local, had a global focus, and as such was open to young people from other countries beyond Ghana.
The two visitors were also accompanied by the Founder of the Economic and Social Development Initiative by Integration, Togo, Madam Jeanne Andjaou, and the Chaplain of the Catholic University of West Africa (CUWA), Father Joseph Laba.
Father Joseph Laba, at the meeting proposed a partnership between the Hub and CUWA to initiate a mutually beneficial exchange program between the two institutions which would contribute to collaborative efforts between Ghana and Togo.
