Node Eight and AmaliTech Partner to Unlock Tech Careers for Young Ghanaians
July 16, 2025At Node Eight Venture Studio, we’re all about building bold solutions that sit right where technology, entrepreneurship, and community impact meet. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share the latest milestone from one of our very own ventures, Jesi AI. This past week, our Jesi AI team, with key support from the broader Node Eight crew, successfully trained 200 incredible teachers in AI integration during their “AI for Teachers Workshop.”
Held at NAGRAT Hall in Ho, Ghana, this initiative was a powerful step forward in realizing a future where educators are empowered, not replaced, by technology. We collaborated with crucial partners like the Ghana Education Service (Ho Municipal Directorate) and Jangala to bring this vision to life for teachers across the Ho Municipality.
Over two intensive days, the teachers dove deep into understanding AI, exploring its transformative impact on global education, and discovering practical strategies for applying it directly in their classrooms. From mastering effective AI prompting to leveraging Jesi AI for creating dynamic lesson plans, assessment items, virtual classrooms, and real-time insights, every session was crafted to make AI an accessible and empowering tool.
We firmly believe that by equipping teachers with cutting-edge tools, they can deliver more impactful instruction, cater to diverse learning needs, and lead with greater confidence. This workshop perfectly embodies our commitment at Node Eight to nurturing ventures that drive real, positive change.
Empowering Teachers: The Jesi AI Mission in Action

Each day of the workshop began with a warm welcome from Perfect Amegboe, COO of Jesi AI. As a venture born from our studio, Jesi AI’s mission aligns perfectly with Node Eight’s core values. Perfect highlighted how Node Eight exists to support young people in Ghana in building innovative solutions. She underscored that Jesi AI was specifically designed within our Venture Studio to directly address the critical needs of teachers and learners within Ghana’s education system.
“Jesi AI was developed to support, not replace, teachers. From streamlining lesson planning and test generation to providing real-time insights, every feature is designed to reduce your workload and enable you to focus on your core mission: your students’ success,” shared Perfect Amegboe.
Her remarks set an inspiring tone, encouraging teachers to approach the training with curiosity and assurance, confident in AI’s role as a tool for empowerment.
AI Demystified: Foundations for Educational Transformation

The foundational training session was skillfully led by Felix Sam, Lead AI Engineer at Jesi AI and the workshop’s lead facilitator. Felix expertly clarified the concept of Artificial Intelligence, defining it as the capacity of machines to emulate human cognitive functions like learning, reasoning, and problem-solving. To make the concept immediately relatable, he cited ubiquitous examples such as traffic lights, YouTube recommendations, voice typing, and facial recognition for phone unlocking.
“AI is not a futuristic concept; it is already integrated into our daily lives—present in our mobile devices, applications, and habits,” Felix elucidated. “Now, it is imperative to understand its strategic integration into the classroom.”
Felix then detailed how AI is currently reshaping educational paradigms, demonstrating how tools like Jesi AI can significantly enhance teacher efficiency through automated lesson planning, adaptive learning methodologies, and streamlined assessment generation. He consistently reinforced that AI in education is about augmenting, not supplanting, the invaluable role of the teacher.
Exploring Jesi AI: A Hands-On Deep Dive

The subsequent session, conducted by Brian Dzansi, Founder of Jesi AI, offered a comprehensive walkthrough of the Jesi AI platform. Brian articulated the fundamental reasons behind Jesi AI’s creation: to optimize teaching processes, making them more efficient, expedient, and impactful. He directly addressed the inherent challenges of traditional lesson planning, including extensive hours, cognitive strain, and repetitive tasks, particularly when managing large class sizes and diverse subject matter – pain points Jesi AI was specifically designed to alleviate.
Brian provided a meticulous tour of the Jesi AI platform, beginning with an overview of the dashboard’s intuitive layout. He then introduced the Lesson Planner, a robust Jesi AI feature enabling teachers to generate comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum. He particularly emphasized the critical customization feature, allowing teachers to tailor each lesson plan to their specific classroom requirements.
“The efficacy of your lesson plan generated with Jesi AI, even when compared to one created by a colleague teaching the same subject, lies in the precision of your prompt,” Brian explained. “Jesi AI responds to the specificity of your input. This allows a teacher in Ho and another in Tamale to both utilize Jesi AI and obtain distinct results that perfectly align with their respective students and contexts.”
Brian also showcased other pivotal platform features: the Classroom for seamless lesson and learner management, Insights for tracking learning progression, and the Ask Jesi AI tool for instant support on a range of queries, from classroom activities to technical assistance.
Impact & Testimonials: The Proof is in the Classroom

Following Brian’s detailed demonstration, teachers engaged in hands-on application of Jesi AI, actively exploring the planner, experimenting with prompt features, and generating authentic lesson plans and assessments. This direct engagement was a testament to the platform’s user-friendliness and immediate utility.
Among the participants was Emmanuel Agbleta, a Computing teacher at Ho Housing M/A JHS, who shared his transformative experience:
“My experience has been phenomenal. I’ve tested the Jesi AI platform, and I believe it’s brilliant. One of my most significant takeaways is the ability to easily generate full lesson plans and create test items for my students. I advocate for the continuation and expansion of this training to benefit more teachers.”
Witnessing the teachers’ active engagement, insightful questions, and confident application of the tool was a profound highlight for the Jesi AI and Node Eight teams. For many, this marked their initial direct encounter with AI, and their palpable enthusiasm was incredibly rewarding.
Bridging Education and Future Workforce Opportunities

A notable and enriching aspect of the workshop was the visit from Walter Dzimey, Advisor for Digital Transformation and the Gig Economy at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). He provided invaluable insights into how contemporary educators can access broader professional opportunities beyond traditional classroom settings.
Walter introduced teachers to Atingi, GIZ’s Gig Platform, which connects individuals with flexible work opportunities, both remote and in-person. He illustrated how platforms like Bolt and Uber are already transforming earning models and how digital proficiencies, including AI literacy, are unlocking new avenues across various sectors.
He underscored that AI is a crucial enabler of this paradigm shift, encouraging teachers to embrace tools like Jesi AI not only for their pedagogical practices but also for their overarching professional development and engagement with the evolving global workforce.
“Opportunities are evolving, and digital skills are your gateway,” Walter noted. “Teachers are not being left behind. In fact, you are uniquely positioned to lead this transformation.”
This successful workshop by Jesi AI, supported by our Node Eight team, exemplifies our studio’s commitment to fostering ventures that not only innovate but also create tangible, positive impacts within our communities. We are excited to see the continued growth of Jesi AI and the transformative effect it will have on education in Ghana and beyond.
