Job Title: Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Associate
Job Summary: The Research Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (RMEL) associate is responsible for designing and carrying out qualitative and quantitative research projects that are in line with the hub’s purpose. The selected candidate will collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met and that lessons learned are acknowledged and communicated.

What you will do:
Research
- Manage research initiatives, including their conception, design, data gathering, analysis, and report writing.
- Lead the production of high-quality research reports.
- Lead, supervise, and train the research and project staff.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
- Develop and implement monitoring, evaluation, and learning plans for the hub’s projects and programs.
- Design and manage data collection systems and tools, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and other methods.
- Analyze and report on project and program data and provide regular updates to project teams and senior management.
- Develop and maintain a database of project and program data, and ensure that data is accurate, complete, and accessible to project teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement learning agendas and systems to promote continuous learning and improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure that project outcomes are achieved, and that project data is collected and analyzed effectively.
- Disseminate project and program results and lessons learned to internal and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other communication channels.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, economics, social science, or related fields.
- A recognized professional certificate in monitoring and evaluation
- At least 3 years of experience in a research, monitoring, and evaluation role, preferably in the development sector.
- Extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodology
- Experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans, data collection tools, and data analysis methodologies.
- Experience in managing databases and data quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Adept at using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and statistical applications like SPSS and STATA.
- Knowledge of and interest in youth development issues and entrepreneurship.
