Problem
Malnutrition in children is a major public health crisis in Ghana, with 18.8% of children under five stunted and 4.7% wasted. Rates in Northern Ghana are even higher, reaching up to 33%. Malnutrition causes developmental delays, increases infection risk, and can lead to death. Early detection is crucial for effective intervention, enabling timely nutritional support that saves lives and improves long-term outcomes. Current challenges include inadequate training of community health workers, inefficient data management, and the overshadowing focus on malaria treatment, leading to undetected malnutrition and persistent health issues among affected children
