About GreenCubator
Greencubator is a 4-month Farming/Agribusinesses/AgriTech incubator program designed to support young people especially graduates to venture into farming as a full-time career.
The program aims to make farming cool and remove all the barriers to entry for young people. Greencubator supports unemployed youth with on-the-farm skills training, a plot of irrigated land, seed, and all inputs required to set up their first farm.
The program also facilitates peer-to-peer learning, and mentorship with successful farmers to keep new farmers motivated in their new journey.
The incubates will also be provided entrepreneurship and financial management support to transform their farms into investment-ready green startups at the end of the program.
At the end of the program, successful Agri startups will receive seed capital and support from launching their first farm.
Eligibility
- The competition is open ONLY to graduates who live within the Ho Municipality.
- Applicants must be at least 18 and at most 35 years with valid identification.
- He or she must be willing to venture into farming full-time for a long term as a career.
- Have an innovative farm/agribusiness idea in need of start-up capital.
- Passionate about agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Selection Criteria:
The top entries will be selected based on the merit and quality of their statement of purpose submitted in the application.
The selected candidates will be invited for two rounds of interviews.
The final shortlisted candidates will have guided to select their co-founders during the program.
