Ho, 06/10/2023 – We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Young and Safe Code2Job Scholarship 2023/2024, a transformative initiative to empower the next generation of tech professionals in Ho, Ghana. The Scholarship, which is part of the Digital Innovation component of the Healthy Cities for Adolescents program, is designed to champion young people’s access to decent livelihoods through employable tech skills.
The Young and Safe Code2Job Scholarship 2023/2024 offers 6-12 months of training and employability support to 30 selected young people in the Ho municipality on the Jesi Platform. This fully funded scholarship goes beyond traditional education by providing comprehensive technical and soft skill development. The goal of the Jesi HCA-II Scholarship is to provide young people in Ho with the digital skills to become employable and build innovative solutions that will make Ho a youth-friendly city.
Code2Job Schorlaship Orientation:
The orientation ceremony marked a significant milestone as our inaugural cohort embarked on their Young and Safe Code2Job Scholarship journey. The event was nothing short of inspiring.
Mr. Courage Asase, Managing Director of Node Eight, warmly welcomed all participants and set the tone for the event with his unwavering commitment to empowering young minds in the tech industry. He emphasized the significance of the Jesi Scholarship and encouraged participants to seize the opportunities it offers for advancing their tech careers.
A captivating keynote address was delivered by Mr Mawuli Denteh, a former trainee who has risen to become an AWS Cloud Engineer. He shared his personal journey and offered valuable guidance on how participants can leverage the Jesi Scholarship to successfully navigate the tech industry.
Mr. Sablah Wisdom, a distinguished data scientist, delivered an engaging presentation on “Leveraging Online Platforms to Advance Your Career.” His insights on utilizing platforms like LinkedIn for career advancement and practical tips for thriving in the digital age were both enlightening and empowering.
