As the world increasingly moves online, the number of jobs requiring digital skills is estimated to grow by 12 percent by 2024 (Robinson et al., 2018). This means the demand for digital technologies and skills post-COVID is growing rapidly leading to an increase in digital job opportunities. More information, however, is required regarding the employment opportunities in the digital sector and how young people can best position themselves to take advantage of them.
In addressing these needs, Node Eight in partnership with Ghana Tech Lab under the Pathways to Sustainable Employment Program of the Mastercard Foundation presents the 3rd edition of the Ho Digital Job Fair. This year’s fair is under the theme, “Building Resilient Software Engineers For The Job Market.” The Ho Digital Job Fair is a day-long event that comes off on Saturday, 19 November 2022 at the Rotary Center, Ho. The time for the event is 10 am.
The event will include a symposium on career readiness as well as a CV review session where you can get feedback on your resume from industry experts. This is a great opportunity to learn more about how to position yourself for success in your chosen field and get tailored advice on your career journey.
The Ho Digital Job Fair is a platform for job seekers and recruiters to meet. It is an opportunity for job seekers to learn about available positions and to network with potential employers.
Recruiters can use the job fair to identify qualified candidates for open positions in the Volta region, Ghana. They can also take an active role in creating opportunities for unemployed young people in the Region, which will help raise awareness about their brands.
