2 startups shine at Local Startup Investment Pitch Summit

Team JWAB Clinched victory as winners of the LSIPS

Four Local Startups in the Volta Region on July, 3, participated in a heavily competitive pitching for a chance at attracting Investors for their innovative business ideas.

With a backing of fresh digital innovations, the businesses curated to focus on Tourism, Real estate, News and Entanglement, among others.

The well attended Summit created an an awesome platform for investors, innovators and entrepreneurs to share ideas, experiences and also explored areas of mutual interest to future collaborations.

This is to ensure the progress of the digital economy.

The summit organized by Ho Node Hub was in partnership with the Ghana Tech Lab with support from the Master Card Foundation.

It was held in view of the need to create viable and sustainable jobs in the Volta region and to honour local startup efforts.

The summit was also geared towards making the Volta region more vibrant, accessible and inclusive for startups to initiate their growth.

The 4 local startups made up of participants drawn from Ho Node Hub’s Digital media training with its partners were provided with the platform to pitch their innovative ideas for funding.

The 4, JWABS, EVAD, BETA and Sui Generics who pitched various innovative ideas competed for prospective investment into their business ideas.

The first 2 clinched the top awards which included funding, a 10 week incubation and support to properly develop their ideas.

BETA and Sui Generics with the 3rd and 4th position respectively, however, moved unto the employability track including a 2 months paid internship in tech based organisations.
